SketchMath Now Covers DSE Core, M1 and M2

One curriculum switch in chat, and notes with animated graphs for every unit of both Extended Part modules.

The SketchMath curriculum button open, showing All topics, DSE Core, DSE M1 and DSE M2

Until now SketchMath was built around the HKDSE Compulsory Part. From today it is aligned to all three DSE Mathematics curricula: Core, Module 1 (Calculus and Statistics) and Module 2 (Algebra and Calculus).

One Button: Core, M1 or M2

The Curriculum button under the question box now lists DSE Core, DSE M1 and DSE M2. Choose your module once and SketchMath answers the way your paper expects: the methods, the notation and the limits of the syllabus. An M1 student is not shown integration by parts or trigonometric calculus, because those belong to M2. The choice is remembered until you change it.

Notes for Every M1 and M2 Unit

Each learning unit of both modules has its own notes page: the key formulas, worked examples, common exam traps and an animated GeoGebra graph that you can open and move yourself. There are guides too: M1 vs M2, the exam format, common mistakes and a one-page formula sheet for each module. Start from the DSE M1 notes or the DSE M2 notes; every page is also available in Chinese.

M2 Past Papers, Explained with Video

We have worked through 45 questions from the 2012 to 2022 DSE M2 papers: curve sketching, areas and volumes of revolution, rates of change and 3D vectors. Each one comes with step-by-step working and a short animation of the actual graph, so you can see why the answer is what it is. Browse them by year or by topic on the M2 past paper solutions page.

Core Topics Move Too

The Compulsory Part pages have not been left behind. Eleven more Core topics, from straight lines to sequences, now open with a looping GeoGebra animation instead of a still picture.
